Several customers argue that the titanium frame on premium models becomes uncomfortably warm when touched.

Apple faces user complaints about overheating in iPhone 15 models. Some users report discomfort due to the titanium frame’s high temperature. On Apple’s forum, users discuss overheating problems with iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. One user mentions their iPhone 15 Pro feeling uncomfortably hot, while another asks about the heat issue on iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Posts on the forum include a photo of an iPhone 15 next to a thermometer displaying 44°C (111°F). Similar discussions are found on platforms like X and Reddit. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests the overheating may result from design compromises for a lighter phone, affecting thermal efficiency. Kuo anticipates Apple addressing the issue through software updates, not attributing it to a new chip.

Kuo warns that if not resolved, the problem could impact iPhone Pro sales. He notes the iPhone 15’s recent UK release with prices ranging from £799 to £1,199. Kuo emphasizes the need for Apple’s judgment on the acceptability of the temperature, reaching 44°C.

CCS Insight’s chief analyst, Ben Wood, assures no safety risk and dismisses widespread recalls, stating adjustments can be made through updates. He adds that most users won’t notice performance changes with a software update.
