While the Pixel Fold and Pixel 7a take the spotlight at Google’s developer conference, AI will also play a significant role in the May 10th keynote. CNBC has acquired internal documents detailing Google’s unveiling of multiple generative AI improvements, including PaLM 2, the latest and most advanced version of its extensive language model.

Google will reveal its newest AI language model, PaLM 2, this week.

As per the documents, internally named the “Unified Language Model,” PaLM 2 from Google has undergone testing in various domains such as coding, mathematics, creative writing, and more. The model is anticipated to provide support for over 100 languages.

During the keynote, Google will emphasize the theme of “empowering individuals to reach their full potential” through “generative experiences” in Bard and Search. Sundar Pichai, Google’s CEO, and his team will showcase Bard’s capabilities in coding, solving mathematical and logical problems, and expanding its chatbot functionalities to encompass Korean and Japanese languages.

According to CNBC, Google is in the process of developing a multi-modal chatbot called “Multi-Bard,” designed to tackle more intricate problems by leveraging a larger dataset. Google has also experimented with variations of the chatbot, known as “Big Bard” and “Giant Bard.”

Furthermore, Google is expected to enhance its “Workspace AI collaborator” by introducing template generation in Sheets and image generation in Slides and Google Meet. The leaked documents included an image depicting a chatbox in a Slides sidebar, allowing users to input text and generate an image based on the provided words.
