2 min readOn December 4, OnePlus is set to reveal its latest flagship, the OnePlus 12, in China, marking an earlier flagship launch in celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary. There are speculations that the event may introduce more than just the OnePlus 12. According to a report from FoneArena, the OnePlus Buds 3, identified by the model number E509A, have appeared on the FCC certification site and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. This suggests an upcoming launch of the OnePlus Buds 3 in India.
Anticipated Features of OnePlus Buds 3
In September, an online leak provided a sneak peek into the anticipated design and essential specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 earbuds. It is expected that the design of the OnePlus Buds 3 will follow the aesthetics of its predecessor, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2.
According to the leaked information, the forthcoming earbuds are likely to showcase a metallic finish on both the in-ear module and stem, with each individual earbud weighing approximately 4.77 grams. The case is expected to house a 520mAh battery with a 4.5W input and a 1.2W output, while each earbud may come equipped with a 58mAh battery unit.
In terms of audio capabilities, the earbuds are anticipated to feature a 10.4mm woofer, a 6mm tweeter, and 48dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Moreover, these earbuds are expected to boast an IP55 rating, providing resistance to dust and water. Simultaneously, the matte-finished case is reported to carry an IPX4 rating.
As per the leaked details, the Buds 3, similar to the Buds Pro 2, are expected to offer 9 hours of battery life (totaling 33 hours with the case) when ANC is deactivated. Conversely, with ANC activated, the earbuds may provide 6 hours of usage (22 hours with the case). In terms of connectivity, these earbuds might come with Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, and support dual connectivity.
